AvtoVAZ says to start selling locally-made Ladas soon
SAMARA, Mar 24 (PRIME) -- Russian car producer AvtoVAZ is preparing versions of Lada cars with fewer foreign components and will start their sales soon, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
"The company is actively working on replacement of some crucial foreign components with alternative solutions. The company is also preparing special versions of some Lada models, which will be less affected by imported components," the company said announcing the start of sales in a few months.
The company also plans to create a united assemblage facility in the city of Tolyatti instead of the current three, Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov told Rossiya 24.
